The Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has killed three members of a terrorist group during clashes in the country’s southeastern border with Pakistan.
In a statement on Tuesday, the IRGC’s Quds Force said the clashes with Takfiri terrorists occurred near the Iranian town of Mirjaveh in Sistan-and-Baluchestan Province Monday night.
It added that the terrorists had made attempts to infiltrate into the country to carry out acts of sabotage and terror but their plots have been thwarted thanks to the vigilance of the Iranian border guards.
An unspecified number of terrorists were also wounded and the rest escaped into Pakistan, it noted.
According to the statement, in the exchange of fire, two members of the Basij volunteer forces and one member of Quds Base were also killed.
Iranian security forces, including the IRGC Ground Forces and border guards, are fully prepared to vigorously counter any move by enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation against the country, it pointed out.
