The Yemeni popular committees struck and completely destroyed on Saturday an Emirati military vessel in Bab al-Mandeb strait, according to media reports.
“Rockets targeted an Emirati warship as it approached the coast of Mokha on the Red Sea,” the reports added, “It was completely destroyed.”
A vessel leased by the UAE Armed Forces suffered an accident in the Bab Al Mandeb area of Yemen on Saturday morning (1st October), while returning from a ‘routine voyage’ to the port of Aden, according to a statement issued by the Armed Forces General Command.
Two citizens were killed on Saturday in Saudi raids on Attan area in the Capital Sanaa, a local Yemeni official said.
Yemen has been since March 26, 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition.
Riyadh launched the campaign against Ansarullah revolutionaries (known as Houthis) in a bid to restore power to fugitive ex-president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
Thousands have been martyred and injured in the aggression, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
