US President Donald Trump said he will announce new sanctions against North Korea later Thursday, the latest step to deter the regime from further developing its nuclear and missile programs.

“We will put more sanctions on North Korea,” Trump said during a meeting on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly, after aides previewed an announcement later Thursday.
