Saudi-led warplanes committed early on Friday a new massacre against Yemen civilians as they carried out fresh strikes on residential buildings in the Faj Attan neighborhood of Sanaa.
At least 14 people were martyred, including children and women, yemen’s al-Masirah television network reported.
The victims include two women and six children, adding that the strike targeted two residences, according to Al-Massirah.
The strike was also reported by Associated Press which gave the same toll for the strike, noting that the number of victims is expected to rise as rescuers pull more bodies from the rubble.
The Saudi-led coalition, launching a brutal aggression on Yemen since March 2015, has been in the last few days stepping up air strikes on residential areas, killing and injuring dozens of civilians. Two days earlier, Saudi-led warplanes hit a hotel in Sanaa’s Arhab district, killing at least 35 people.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been injured and martyred in Saudi-led aggression since 2015, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
The coalition has been also imposing a blockade on the impoverished country’s ports and airports as a part of his aggression which is aimed at restoring power to fugitive former president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
