7777 people are to leave Arsal and its outskirts as part of a swap deal between Hezbollah and Nusra Front terrorist group, Hezbollah Military Media Center reported on Wednesday.
The Military Media Center classified the evacuees according to areas they have been stationing in, saying the first group consists of 6217 people including 116 militants.
The first group includes people who are in areas controlled by the Lebanese army, according to the Military Media Center.
The second group is stationed in area that is not controlled by the army and consists of 1560 people including 1000 militants, the Media Military Center added.
Al-Manar correspondent reported that Nusra terrorists torched their positions in Arsal outskirts before their departure, noting that such move is a positive sign that the evacuation operation is on the right track.
Our correspondent also reported that Nusra Emir Abu Malek Al-Talli informed his militants that they are leaving the area at 2:00 p.m.
The evacuees are leaving the Lebanese border area to Syria’s Aleppo and then to Idlib, as part of a swap deal between Hezbollah and Nusra.
The evacuation operation is the latest stage of the swap agreement that saw exchange of bodies of Hezbollah martyrs and corpses of killed Nusra terrorists on Sunday. Later on Tuesday Hezbollah captives were exchanged for Nusra prisoners in Lebanese jails.
The deal followed a wide-scale operation launched by Hezbollah to cleanse Arsal outskirts of Nusra terrorists.
