Implementation of the first stage of ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Nusra Front in the outskirts of Lebanon’s northeastern border town of Arsal started on Sunday, Al-Manar correspondent said.
The first stage of the deal is a corpse swap operation, in which 5 bodies of Hezbollah martyrs will be exchanged by nine corpses of killed Nusra terrorists, our correspondent reported.
He said that the Islamic Health Society ambulances carried bodies of Nusra terrorists and will hand them over to the Lebanese Red Cross in eastern town of Younin.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Red Cross ambulances will hand over bodies of 5 Hezbollah martyrs, according to Ali Shouaib.
Our correspondent said the first stage of the agreement aimed at clearing Arsal outskirts from Nusra terrorists will be followed by other stages, noting that Nusra terrorists will be evacuated along with thousands of Syrian refugees in Arsal camps to Syria’s Idlib province during the next stage.
Hezbollah fighters launched a wide-scale operation to cleanse Arsal outskirts on July 21. A ceasefire took effect last Thursday.
