The Yemeni army and popular forces foiled an attempt of Saudi-paid mercenaries to infiltrate toward Maqbanah district of Taiz province, a military official told Saba on Tuesday.

The operation caused in large casualties upon the mercenaries.

Also, the national Yemeni forces killed four of the mercenaries and wounded two others in Nabadhah Mountain in Mawza’a district in the same province, the official added.

A number of Saudi-paid mercenaries were killed when the army and popular forces carried out an attack on several sites in Osaylan district of Shabwah province, a military official told Saba on Monday.

Also, the national force bombed two vehicles of the mercenaries in the operation, the official explained.

The air defenses of the army and popular forces had shot down the US-backed Saudi reconnaissance plane in Al Safra district of Saada province, a military official told Saba on Monday.
