The Lebanese government decided, during its Monday session at Baabda Presidential Palace, to suspend the works of Risalat Lebanese Association of Arts till the end of the “investigation into Raouche Rock Event“.
According to Al-Manar reporter, Health Minister Rakan Nasseredine voiced objection to the suspension decision before the investigation is complete.
After the session, Information Minister Paul Morcos said, “The Cabinet reviewed the Army’s monthly report on arms exclusiveness in the country,” adding that the “the Cabinet decided to maintain the content of the Army’s plan and keep the deliberations confidential, provided that the Army continues to submit its monthly report to the government.”
Morcos noted that “President Aoun and PM Salam are committed to holding the parliamentary elections on time, but Parliament must choose the appropriate electoral law, and all rumors about postponing the elections are baseless.”
While the government was discussing the suspension of Risalat Association license and the exclusiveness of the weapons, the Israeli enemy committed a horrible crime in South Lebanon by assassinating a civilian couple in Zibdin town.

Meanwhile, a crowd of political, social, and cultural figures participated in a solidarity event with the “Risalat” association, titled “Risalat Represents Me.” The event coincided with the Lebanese government’s session discussing the dissolution of the association, a move several experts described as illegal.
