In a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli military has launched a series of airstrikes across southern and eastern Lebanon, prompting a strong response from the Yemeni leadership.
Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen, condemned the “unjustified aggression” and affirmed that his country stands firmly with Lebanon and Hezbollah. “Yemen will not stand by and watch the Zionist attacks on Lebanon,” he declared, addressing the people of Lebanon and Hezbollah, “You are not alone; we stand with you against any aggression.”
The latest wave of Israeli attacks began on March 22, with the occupation forces targeting multiple locations in southern Lebanon, including the archaeological district of Tyre, as well as areas in the Bekaa Valley in the east. The strikes resulted in the deaths of at least five civilians, including a child, and left 11 others wounded, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
“This renewed hostility is a clear violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and the ceasefire agreement,” said a spokesperson for the Lebanese government. “We condemn these actions in the strongest possible terms and call on the international community to intervene and hold Israel accountable.”
The Yemeni leader, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, reiterated his country’s unwavering support for the people of Lebanon and Hezbollah, stating, “Yemen’s firm and principled stance supports Hezbollah and the Lebanese people in any major developments or full-scale Zionist escalation.”
