The Islamic Republic of Iran successfully launched the “Fakhr-1” military satellite into space, placing it into an orbit at an altitude of 410 kilometers.
According to the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the Iranian military successfully deployed the “Fakhr-1” satellite using the “Simorgh” satellite carrier.
The agency reported that the “Fakhr-1” satellite transmitted its first signal to ground stations after reaching its designated orbit.
The “Simorgh” satellite carrier is the only launch platform developed in Iran for deploying such satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
The “Fakhr-1” system, designed and manufactured by experts at Iran’s Space Research Center in collaboration with the Aerospace Industries Organization of the Ministry of Defense, is a launch vehicle that facilitates transferring satellites from low to medium orbits with the capability to send payloads deeper into space.
The satellite has already transmitted its first signal to ground stations.
