The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) mourns three of its members who were martyred in an Israeli strike on Beirut after midnight on Sunday.
In a statement, the Palestinian group said: “: “With great pride, the PFLP announces the martyrdom of its heroic leaders: Comrade Martyr Commander Muhammad Abdul Al (Abu Ghazi), member of the Political Bureau and head of the military-security division; Comrade Martyr Commander Imad Awda (Abu Ziyad), member of the military division and its leader in Lebanon; and Comrade Martyr Abdul Rahman Abdul Al.”
Three members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) died in the airstrike on Cola area in Beirut.

“The three leaders were martyred at dawn on Monday, September 30, 2024, in a cowardly assassination by Israeli occupation forces in the Cola area of Beirut,” the statement added.
The Israeli strike hit an apartment in a residential building in Cola area, marking the first time the Israeli enemy staged an attack in the heart of Beirut since the Israeli war on Gaza started.

Media reports indicated that the aggression was a drone strike rather than an air raid by Israeli fighter jets.
The Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Health Ministry issued a statement on Monday confirming that an Israeli airstrike on the Cola area of Beirut city last night resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left four others injured.
