Hezbollah carried out early on Monday a preemptive strike on an Israeli barracks near the border with Lebanon, inflicting losses and damage upon the Zionist occupation.
The Lebanese Islamic Resistance declared in a statement that its fighters have targeted an Israeli force near Zari’t Barracks, which was preparing to carry out an aggression in the Lebanese territories.
“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza and in solidarity with their courageous and honorable resistance, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted an “Israeli” force in the vicinity of Zar’it barracks, which was preparing to carry out an aggression in the Lebanese territories, at 12:00 AM on Monday, January 22, 2024, with missile weapons, resulting in confirmed injuries among them,” read the statement, provided by Hezbollah’s military Media Center.
Meanwhile, Israeli media confirmed sirens sounded in the Zionist entity’s north, near the border with Lebanon, with some outlets reporting damage in a building.
“A rocket launched by Hezbollah last night directly hit a building inside Zar’it,” Israeli Channel 12 reported, providing an image of the damage.
Later at 11:15 AM , the Islamic Resistance said its fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers in the vicinity of Al-Raheb site with appropriate weapons, resulting in a direct hit.
A third statement indicated that the Islamic Resistance fighters struck, at 12:30 PM, an Israeli enemy force in Mount Abu Djeij with appropriate weapons, hitting the target directly.
The fourth statement affirmed that the Islamic Resistance fighters targeted at 15:30 Al-Sammaqa site in Lebanon’s occupied Shebaa Farms with the missile weapons and caused direct hits.
Islamic Resistance fighters targeted, at 05:00 PM on Monday, January 22, 2024, a gathering of “Israeli” enemy soldiers in the vicinity of Evin Menachem settlement with missile weapons, causing direct injuries, according to the fifth statement.
Meanwhile on Monday, the Islamic Resistance mourned the Martyrs All the Way to Al-Quds Sameh Assaad Assaad (Abu Turab), from the southern border town of Kfar Kila, Ali Saeed Yahya (Jawad) from the southern town of Al-Taybeh, and Haidar Hussein Ibrahim, (Sajed), from the town of Adaisseh in southern Lebanon.
Addressing funeral of martyr Samar Al-Sayyed in Bint Jbeil, MP Fadlallah said the Israeli enemy has not learned that assassinations may never affect the Resistance morale and power.
Earlier before midnight on Sunday, Hezbollah’s Military Media Center released a statement that provided a summary of Sunday’s operations against Israeli targets along the border with Lebanon.
“In support of the resilient Palestinian people in Gaza and backing their courageous resistance, the Islamic Resistance carried out several operations against “Israeli” military sites and deployments along the Lebanese-Palestinian borders on Sunday, January 21, 2024, as follows:
– Eastern Sector:
- At 15:40, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Ruwaisat Al-Qarn site in the occupied Shebaa Farms with missile weapons, resulting in a direct hit.
– Western Sector:
- At 12:50, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Branit barracks with missile weapons, causing a direct hit.
- At 16:45, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Hadab Al-Bustan site with a Burkan missile, achieving a direct hit.
- At 17:00, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted Avivim settlement with missile weapons, resulting in damage to a house, leading whose inside to be either killed or wounded, in response to “Israeli” attacks on Lebanese villages and civilians, including the recent airstrike on the town of Kafra.”
