Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian and injured many others as they raided the Nur Shams refugee camp, adjacent to the West Bank city of Tulkarm on Friday morning.
Both Palestinian and Israeli media reported the raid on Nur Shams refugee camp.
According to the official Palestinian Authority news agency, Wafa, 18-year-old Mahmoud Abu Sa’an was fatally shot in the head during violent confrontations in the camp.
Tulkarm Battalion, a local wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance group, said its fighters confronted the Israeli raid, adding that they had opened fire on Israeli forces and detonated several explosive devices against army vehicles.
The group said it mourned the death of Abu Sa’an as a heroic martyr, but did not say he was a member.

At least 170 Palestinians have been martyred in the occupied West Bank since the start of 2023.
Earlier on Friday, thousands of Palestinians performed Al-Fajr (dawn) prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem). Tens of thousands others were heading for the holy compound to perform Friday prayers, defying Israeli oppressive measures in and across the holy city.
