The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council described unity among Muslim states, particularly the regional actors of resistance, as the greatest harm to the Zionist regime.
“The strengthening of unity among Muslims, especially the regional actors of resistance, deals the biggest blow to the Zionist enemy and its supporters,” Ali Akbar Ahmadian said in a meeting with the political bureau chief of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, held in Tehran on Monday.
Describing Palestine as the overriding issue of the Islamic world, the Iranian official emphasized that resistance is the most effective way to end more than 75 years of occupation of Palestine.
Lauding Hamas for its struggle against the Zionist enemy, Ahmadian said the ongoing developments across the occupied territories have confused and frightened the Zionist regime’s leaders.
“The Palestinian resistance that once fought in Gaza to defend itself has reached a stage of preparedness that now consolidates its presence in the West Bank,” he added.
For his part, Ismail Haniyeh highlighted Iran’s significant and effective role in promoting unity and cooperation among Islamic countries and the Palestinian resistance groups.
He also briefed the Iranian official on the political developments in Palestine and the resistance’s plans to take initiatives in the face of the Zionist regime.
