The Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri set next Tuesday, April 18, as a date to convene the parliament expected to extend the term of the municipal councils.

During the legislative session, the parliament is expected to pass a number of laws concerned with the postponement of the municipal elections.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced that Prime Minister Najib Mikati will convene the cabinet at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, April 18, to discuss an agenda of 9 items.
