The Israeli occupation security establishment has reportedly decided to indefinitely halt visits to Joseph’s Tomb located in the Palestinian city of Nablus due to the heightened security situation in the West Bank.
The Kan Israeli public broadcaster, which broke the story on Thursday, said that the Israeli occupation Forces is seeking to limit its activity in the northern West Bank city more broadly allegedly “in order to allow the Palestinian Authority’s security forces more autonomy to operate there.”
However, the network cited a senior military official who said that the occupation forces will continue to enter all Palestinian cities “to carry out operations on an as-needed basis.”
Nablus has been lately a venue for fierce clashes between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces who frequently storm the city and secure the entrance of Zionist settlers into Joseph Tomb.
The two northern West Bank cities of Nbalus and neighboring Jenin have seen near nightly brutal Israeli raids.
At least four Palestinians have been martyred as IOF stormed Nablus early on Wednesday, sparking clashes with residents who rushed to defend the city.
