House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Tuesday met at the Second Presidency in Ain El-Tineh with Prime Minister-designate, Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, with whom he discussed the current general situation and the latest political developments.
Premier-designate Mikati left Ain El-Tineh without making any statement.
Speaker Berri also welcomed in Ain El-Tineh the Regional Secretary of the Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party in Lebanon, Ali Hijazi, with discussions reportedly touching on the current general situation and an array of developmental affairs.
The House Speaker also met with former Minister, Marwan Charbel.
This afternoon, Berri received the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Imad Othman, over the current security situation.
The Speaker also met Tashnaq Party Secretary-General, MP Hagop Pakradounian, with talks reportedly touching on the current political situation and legislative affairs.
On the other hand, Berri sent a congratulatory message to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s Independence.
