Parliament’s Secretary General, Adnan Daher, on Thursday said in a statement that the number of MPs who attended today’s plenary session has reached 53 MPs.
“Due to the lack of a quorum, Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, has decided to adjourn the plenary session, which was supposed to witness a confidence vote for Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdullah Bou Habib, upon the request of a number of MPs,” Daher explained.
Head of Strong Lebanon Parliamentary bloc, MP Gebran Bassil, warned against the Lebanese Forces attempt to control the diaspora voters’ choice and will. adding that this threatens the elections integrity.
It is worth noting that the parliamentary elections will be held in May.
