Former Al-Quds Mufti Sheikh Ikrima Sabri said that the Israeli occupation is exercising acts of terror against Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In remarks on Sunday, the top Palestinian cleric said the Israeli occupation forces deployed at Al-Aqsa and evacuated the holy compounds’ courtyards from Palestinian worshipers barricaded there.
“I have warned earlier that the Jewish Passover will last till Thursday and the battle in Al-Aqsa will last till this day.”
He noted that the occupation failed to hold the so-called animal sacrifice in Al-Aqsa on Friday, expecting that the Zionists will reconsider such move in the coming days.
“Zionist groups managed to storm Al-Aqsa on the Passover. As long as Muslims and Arabs are not united and not interested in their own issues how can we expect the UN wto move?”
In this context, Sheikh Sabri urged the Muslim nation to bear the responsibility in defending their holy site of Al-Aqsa.
“We don’t want to weigh down the responsibility on our people alone. A billion Muslims also have to shoulder this responsibility.”
