On Sunday morning, Russian jets and warships attacked an oil refinery and fuel storage facility in the Ukrainian port of Odessa, according to a Defense Ministry official.
“High-precision strikes launched this morning from sea and air destroyed an oil refinery and three fuel and lubricant depots near the city of Odessa, which supplied Ukrainian troops in the Mykolaiv region,” Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov told a news briefing.
Two Ukrainian drones were shot down by Russian air defenses in the villages of Shchurivka and Kudryashivka on the outskirts of Kiev and further east. Overnight, 51 Ukrainian military assets were destroyed.
Russian MoD reported that 213 planes and helicopters and 383 Ukrainian drones have been shot down since the start of the military operation.
Yesterday, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesperson Major General Igor Konashenkov told a news briefing that “high-precision long-distance strikes from air and sea destroyed gas and diesel depots in the morning at the Kremenchuk oil refinery, which was supplying Ukrainian armed forces in the country’s center and east.”
The Russian air force has rendered military airfields in Poltava and Dnipro, both in central Ukraine, inoperable, he added.
