The Lebanese cabinet approved on Thursday the draft state budget law in a session held at Baada Palace and chaired by President Michel Aoun.
Prime minister Najib Mikati announced after the session the approval of the draft state budget law, disclosing a set of social subsidies as decided by the council of ministers.
Mikati denied any new taxes imposed in the new state budget, adding that the cabinet endorsed fees in return for public services.
It is worth noting that the draft state budget law will be in need of the parliament ratification in order to come into effect.
