IRGC Qods Force Commander Brigadier General Esmaeil Qaani said on Sunday that the late General Qassem Suleimani had made a good link between diplomacy and the battlefield.
Qaani was speaking in the commemoration ceremony of the second anniversary of former IRGC Quds Force Commander General Qasem Suleimani held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
He said that General Suleimani was pioneer in many areas, as he managed to make a good link between diplomacy and the battlefield.
Qaani praised Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their cooperation with General Suleimani, adding that he had a faith-oriented understanding of politics.
General Suleimani and former Iraqi Mobilization Unit Forces commander Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis along with eight other companions were assassinated by the US army in a terrorist drone attack on January 3, 2020, on their convoy near Baghdad airport.
The attack was carried out at the direct order of former US President Donald Trump.
