Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Monday that the character of General Suleimani, as a key figure in the Muslim world, has to be introduced to all.
The president made the remarks during a meeting with the family of General Suleimani on the anniversary of his martyrdom.
Those in charge of a ceremony to commemorate General Suleimani were also present in the meeting.
Noting that General Suleimani managed to train Iraqi and Syrian forces to defend their countries and fight against oppression, President Raisi said that the martyred Iranian general created a huge potential in the Muslim world.
The president said that the “school of General Suleimani” served as a messenger to all human societies.
He said that General Suleimani was unhappy about the contamination of some people with Takfir and poisonous propaganda and tried to bring them back to the right track.
General Suleimani, the commander of the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the former commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), along with their companions were assassinated in a US drone attack near Baghdad airport on January 3, 2020.
