If the other side has the serious will and practical readiness to comply with all of its obligations under the JCPOA, Iran’s top nuclear negotiator Ali Baqeri Kani said, noting that the agreement will be reached and it will be accepted by the two sides within a short period of time.
Iran’s highest priority in the Vienna talks is to remove all unlawful and outrageous sanctions imposed against the Iranian nation over the past years, Baqeri Kani pointed out.
The sanctions imposed and re-imposed against Iran have violated international law and regulations as well as international principles.
The imposed sanctions are inconsistent with the JCPOA, he said, adding they are inconsistent with UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
Earlier today, Baqeri Kani in a message stressed the fact that some actors persist in blame game habit, instead of real diplomacy.
“Some actors persist in their blame game habit, instead of real diplomacy,” Baqeri Kani wrote in his Twitter account.
“We proposed our ideas early, & worked constructively & flexibly to narrow gaps; diplomacy is a 2 way street,” he added.
“If there’s real will to remedy the culprit’s wrongdoing, way for quick good deal will be paved,” he noted.
