Head of Yemen’s National Delegation Mohammad Abdel Salam stressed that US’ call for opening so-called ‘safe corridors’ for militants in Marib proves the direct relation with the ISIL Takfiri group.

In remarks carried by Yemen’s Al-Massirah TV channel on Sunday, Abdel Salam noted that Washington’s call came after ISIL terrorists were defeated by Yemeni Armed Forces in Marib’s Al-Abdiyah.

“The Americans are raising their voice in a bid to defend terrorists as the Yemeni forces approach the last ISIL stronghold in Marib,” the Yemeni official added.

“The US pretends that it is keen for peace in Yemen. In contrary, Washington is the enemy of peace in Yemen and the entire world.”
