On the first anniversary of 2024 Israeli ware on Lebanon, the Islamic Resistance Military Media started issuing an episodic documentary that highlights the various aspects of the Battle of the Formidable in Might.
Hezbollah Military Media affirmed that the series would not be just a presentation of events, but a historical document. Through daily episodes, it records the heroism of men who, with their blood and steadfastness, inscribed shining chapters in the history of resistance.
Battle of the Formidable in Might is the story of those who were never defeated, but who, with their blood, forged a memory of glory and immortality that will remain alive.

In response to the Israeli aggression and in defense of Lebanon and its people, the Islamic Resistance carried out 17 military operations on Thursday, October 17, 2024. These operations targeted settlements, sites, barracks, and troop concentrations belonging to the Israeli enemy forces along the Lebanese-Palestinian border with rockets and artillery shells.
In ground confrontations, the pride of Israeli military industries faced skilled fighters. An Israeli armored force attempted to advance on the Labbuneh hill, but resistance fighters engaged them with guided missiles, destroying four Merkava tanks, which caught fire and resulted in casualties among the crews.
When two Merkava tanks moved in the vicinity of the Jall al-Deir site opposite the town of Maroun al-Ras, fighters targeted them with guided missiles, causing casualties among the crews.
The resistance also bombarded concentrations of Israeli forces in Wadi Qatmon and the outskirts of the towns of Kafr Kila and Al-Adaisseh with rocket salvos and artillery shells.
The Operations Room of the Islamic Resistance issued a statement announcing that, based on the directives of the resistance leadership, it has transitioned to a new and escalating phase in the confrontation with the Israeli enemy, which will be reflected in the events and developments of the coming days.
In response, Israeli media reported that 24 soldiers and officers were injured in clashes with Hezbollah at the northern border. The Israeli army spokesperson acknowledged the deaths of two officers and three soldiers from the elite Golani unit during clashes with Hezbollah on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in addition to eight soldiers being seriously injured.
The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that soldiers from the Golani Brigade entered a building in southern Lebanon that was deemed “safe” with air support, but Hezbollah fighters ambushed them from close range, opening fire on them.
On the same day, sirens were sounded 23 times in various areas of occupied Palestine, particularly in the Upper Galilee settlements and the Finger of Galilee.
