Israeli warplanes struck the Gaza strip early on Monday, for the third consecutive day, both Palestinian and Israeli media reported.
Palestinian sources reported that the Israeli strikes caused material damage in the besieged enclave.
Israeli media said the strikes hit four targets Gaza, noting that they were in response to two rockets launched from the coastal strip earlier during the night.
This is the third night in a row that Israeli warplanes strike Gaza.
Tensions have been high in the Zionist entity as the Israeli occupation has been conducting one of its biggest manhunts in history, searching for two remaining Palestinian prisoners who escaped from high-security Gilboa Prison last week.
Occupation forces captured four of them since they managed to escape from a cell, digging themselves out with a spoon.
Commenting on Monday’s strikes, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said the Israeli occupation through the strikes “is incapable of imposing its equation on our people in Palestine.”
He hailed all forms of Palestinian resistance against the Israeli enemy.
“The Resistance’s retaliation in Gaza and clashes with the occupation in areas across West Bank proves that the uprising of freedom is still ongoing in a bid to back our beloved prisoners.”
