Hamas Chief Ismail Hnaiyeh congratulated Islamic Jihad Secretary General Ziad Nakhale on the jailbreak operation by six Palestinians from the high-security Gilboa prison.
In a phone call with Nakhale, Haniyeh said the Palestinians (five Islamic Jihad operatives and one Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade operative) managed to regain their freedom inspite of the Israeli enemy.
“These heroes have written a new page in the victory book of our Palestinian people,” Haniyeh told Nakhale.
“This operation amounts to a battle with the Israeli enemy,” Hamas chief said, voicing confidence that the “Palestinian people victories against the Zionist occupation will continue till the full liberation of our country.”
He also called for offering support to the six Palestinian operatives in order to continue their path of Resistance.
In this context, Haniyeh underlined that securing freedom of Palestinian prisoners is of top priority.
For his part, Nakhale thanked Hanieyh for his call, lauding the achievements secured by the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza and West Bank.
He pointed that the victory achieved by the prisoners is a victory for all Palestinian people, stressing on importance of national unity in face of Israeli aggression.
Six Palestinian prisoners managed to break out of the high-security Gilboa prison early Monday in what is considered to be among the most serious jailbreaks in the Zionist entity’s history.
