A vaccination campaign organized by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health kicked off on Monday in several areas across the country.
The Pfizer Vaccine Marathon was held for residents of Akkar, Baalbek-Hermel and the Bekaa, where those aged over 60 were able to receive a first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
Caretaker Minister of Health Hamad Hassan inspected a vaccination center in the West Bekaa.
He announced that 1,517 people have already received the vaccine by Sunday, indicating that there would be more to be vaccinated during the vaccination marathon to be held in other regions of the country.
