The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Tuesday its daily report in which it announced 748 new coronavirus cases, 728 of them for locals and 20 for the arrivals, raising total to 529205.
The report added that 11154 PCR tests were conducted during the past 48 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 472133.
According to the report, 23 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 7368.
Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut gradually. In this context, the report noted that 305481 citizens received the first shot of the vaccine, adding that the second shot have been given to 175521 of them.
The caretaker health minister, Dr. Hamad Hasan, urged all the citizens to book their vaccination appointments, noting that the side effects of the vaccines are not as serious as what is claimed by the related rumors.
