Following the meeting, Raad described the discussion with Lavrov as “open and friendly.”
“We discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as means to maintain stability and bolstering achievements secured in the field of counter-terrorism in both Syria and Lebanon,” MP Raad was quoted as saying by AL-Manar reporter.
The meeting also touched upon “Russia’s support to friendly countries in the region, especially Lebanon,” Raad added.
Hezbollah MP also voiced importance of speeding up the formation of the new government in Lebanon “in a way that represent the people’s will,” noting that such step is the key to stability and solving crises in the country.
