Iran’s ambassador to IAEA called the immediate and unconditional accession of the Israeli regime to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) the only step to offset the current nuclear crisis in the Middle East.
Iran Press/ Europe: Stating that ignoring the Israeli regime’s secret nuclear capability poses a serious threat to the world and region’s security and stability, Iran’s Ambassador to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Permanent Representative to the Vienna-based International Organizations Kazem Gharibabadi stressed the immediate and unconditional accession of the Israeli regime to the NPT.
Gharibabadi emphasized that the international community has no choice but to continue to put pressure on the Israeli regime to join immediately and unconditionally to the NPT and added that it is unfortunate that the Israeli regime, as the only non-party to the NPT in the Middle East, is preventing globalization.
He also expressed concern over the non-implementation of the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement by Saudi Arabia and the position of the UAE in this regard and stated that Saudi Arabia does not fully implement the agreement, and the UAE still does not formally feel any obligation to fully and effectively implement it.
