Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif condemned the knife attack which took place at a church in France’s Nice, warning that “radicalism only breeds more radicalism.”
In a tweet late Thursday, the top Iranian diplomat described the attack which killed three people as terrorist, calling for replacing violence with reason.
We strongly condemn today’s terrorist attack in #Nice.
This escalating vicious cycle—hate speech, provocations & violence—must be replaced by reason & sanity.

He also posted an image with a verse from the holy Quran on the occasion of birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
An attacker with a knife killed three people and wounded several others at Notre Dame church in Nice, with police had detained the attacker.
