“The statement issued by the Central Bank announcing the agreement with the Association of Banks on how to pay the cost of medical supplies in Lebanese pounds is positive,” said Caretaker Minister of Health, Hamad Hassan, during an interview with LBC TV Channel.
He added, “It is unacceptable to repeatedly threaten the Lebanese to stop receiving them in hospitals. People no longer have the capacity to withstand more crises and pressure, and they need someone to provide them with safety.”
The Caretaker Minister indicated that he had asked the Central Bank Governor and the Association of Banks to discuss with the Ministry of Public Health every financial decision that might affect the health sector.
