Lebanon on Tuesday registered 1,392 new coronavirus cases with 5 related fatalities, Health Ministry announced.

In its daily report, the ministry said 1,312 new infections were recorded among local residents, while the other 80 cases were imported, raising the total infections nationwide since February to 64,336.

12,702 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 824 at Beirut International Airport, according to the report.

5 new fatalities were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the nationwide death toll to 531, the ministry added.

643 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, including 211 at the ICU rooms, the report added, noting that the number of recoveries reached 29,625.
