Public Prosecutor Ghassan El Khoury, will hear the testimony of the security apparatuses chiefs on Monday, to obtain the technical information available to them regarding the circumstances of the Beirut Port explosion.
Two huge blasts rocked Beirut Port on Tuesday, August 4, claiming more than 150 martyrs and leaving over 6000 injured.
The two blasts also obliterated the port completely and caused massive destruction in the capital as well as considerable damages in the suburbs.
Judge El-Khoury ordered on Friday the arrest of evening three senior officials at Port of Beirut, pending an investigation into the explosions that rocked the port on Tuesday, the National News Agency reported.
The arrested officials include General Director of Customs Badri Daher, former Customs Director Chafic Merhi and Director General of Beirut Port Hassan Koraytem.
