Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday voiced, via his eminence’s Twitter account, solidarity with Lebanon after the port catastrophic explosion, urging patience in face of the disaster.

We stand in solidarity with the dear Lebanese people in light of the catastrophic explosion which rocked Beirut port and left a large number of dead and wounded as well as significant damages, according to Imam Khamenei who added that patience in face of the painful incident would be a golden page in the record of Lebanon’s pride.

Two massive explosions went off at Beirut port and rocked the entire Lebanese capital on Tuesday, killing or wounding hundreds of people. The blasts shook buildings and sent huge plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.
