Lebanon recorded on Tuesday 9 new coronavirus cases, raising total infections nationwide to 1,473.
In its daily report, Ministry of Public Health said 6 of Tuesday infections were registered among residents, while the three other cases were imported.
The ministry said that 1,142 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, noting that recovery cases reached 889.
No new fatalities related to the COVID-19 disease were registered over the past 24 hours, the ministry said, keeping the death toll at 32.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, Minister of Public Health Hamad Hassan said that the success of the ministry in the fight against the coronavirus was a feat for Lebanon and its society.
His remarks took place as he received a number of respiratory apparatuses by the union of food exporters, in the presence of Minister of the Economy, Raoul Nehme, National News Agency (NNA) reported.
