Lebanon records today (Monday) 4 new coronavirus cases, taking the total infections nationwide to 677, as the Health Ministry readies to increase PCR tests.
In its daily report, the Ministry announced that the country now has 677 novel coronavirus cases.
It added that out of 340 PCR tests conducted in 9 laboratories across Lebanon, 4 people tested positive to the disease caused by the virus, called COVID-19.
The ministry, meanwhile, reported no deaths in the last 24 hours, keeping the toll of coronavirus-related deaths at 21.
On the other hand, the ministry has been readying to conducted excessive PCR tests, by dispatching medical delegations to several areas across the country.
The ministry said on Monday that 5 teams will visit regions of Matn, Keserwan, Hasbaya, Rashaya, Hermel and Koura.
It added that every team will include a doctor, nurse, administrative employee and a driver.
Earlier on Sunday, Health Minister Hamad Hasan said in the coming days the ministry will raise the number of PCR tests from 1000, to 1500 in order to have a better analysis of the spread of the COVID-19 disease in the country.
