Lebanon recorded on Friday five new coronavirus cases, taking the total infections nationwide to 668, Health ministry announced.
In its daily report, the ministry said out of 1,070 PCR tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 5 people tested positive for COVID-19 disease.
Since February 21 until today (April 17,) 668 people have been infected with the contagious disease, the ministry said, noting that PCR tests were conducted by 19 laboratories across Lebanon, including Beirut’s Rafiq Hariri University Hospital.
No deaths were registered in the last 24 hours, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry which put the toll of deaths caused by the virus nationwide at 21.
