The Syrian army and allied forces destroyed on Wednesday 14 unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to terrorist groups in the province of Daraa that were intended for the monitoring and destruction of military objects and positions near the Daraa town in the southwest of the country.
The UAVs were shot down with precision to avoid damage to the army’s troops, added to the significant gains the Syrian army made in recent weeks against gunmen in the province.
Meanwhile, military source said that violent clashes between Syrian Armed forces and Jabhat Fatah al Sham, formerly known as Al-Nusra Front, occurred in the town of Khan al-Shih, one of the main terrorist’s strongholds not far from Damascus.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Syrian military and allies successfully withstood a powerful assault of terrorists on their positions southwest of Damascus, inflicting the armed groups heavy losses in material and personnel.
