Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis received on Monday Lebanese Industry Minister Hussein al-Hajj Hassan, discussing with him the economic relations between the two countries and means to enhance them.
Premier Khamis pointed out to the stages of the terrorist war experienced by Syria and the systematic destruction which targeted economic sectors, especially the industrial cities, and the destruction of factories and the stealing of production lines, adding that the Syrian government works according to a new strategy to rehabilitate the agricultural, commercial, and industrial productive sectors and investment in all fields.
For his part, the Lebanese minister affirmed the importance of developing economic relations between the two countries, mainly at the industrial field, adding that Syria and Lebanon share a common destiny in resisting the projects which benefit Israel and aim at fragmenting the Arab countries.
Al-Hajj Hassan further confirmed that Syria and allies managed to defeat the terrorist scheme, noting that all the axis of resistance emerged victorious from the confrontation.
