The Syrian army operations against terrorist organizations resulted in destroying more of their positions, vehicles and heavy weapons, in addition to leaving many of their members dead or wounded.

Army units thwarted on Friday morning an attack launched by terrorists of the so called “Jaish al-Islam” and “al-Rahman Legion” on the army points in Jobar neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of Damascus.
A field commander told SANA reporter that terrorist groups from the so called “al-Rahman Legion” tried at six o’clock in the morning to infiltrate from a tunnel and attack army’s advanced points on the schools’ axis in the southwest side of Jobar neighborhood.
He pointed out that the army’s members thwarted the attack using light and medium weapons, killing eight terrorists and inflicting heavy losses on them.
The Commander noted that the terrorist groups tried to infiltrate through the tunnels and directly attack the army’s points to cover up the infiltrating terrorists from the axis of Sinbul Gas Station in the direction of Eyn Tarma Bridge on the outskirts of Jobar neighborhood, adding that the attack was foiled and the attackers were killed or injured while their weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
He added that terrorist groups targeted with mortars and rocket shells the neighboring residential gatherings in al-Abassyieen area, noting that army units responded with artillery and tank shells on the rocket-launching sources and destroyed them.
