Syria President Bashar Al-Assad hailed military achievements secured by Syrian army, stressing that they reflect the solid will of Damascus and its allies in liberating Syria.
As he received Senior Assistant of Iran’s Foreign Minister for Special Political Affairs, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Assad stressed the importance of the strategic relationship between Syria and Iran for the people of both countries and for the benefit of the region as a whole.
Assad and Ansari agreed to continue working to strengthen this relationship and develop it continuously as it is an important stabilizing factor in the region, SANA news agency reported.
The Syrian leader assured that these achievements reflect the solid will of the Syrian Arab Army and the allied forces in liberating the entire Syrian territory from terrorism.
For his part, Ansari congratulated Syria’s people and leadership on the achievement of defeating terrorism in the city of Daraa and its countryside, whether through reconciliations or military operations.
The meeting was attended by the Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad, the Director of the Asia Department at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry, according to SANA.
