Lebanese President Michel Aoun stressed that deciding on whether to accept PM Saad Hariri’s resignation won’t happen before his return to Lebanon.
In a meeting with members of the International Support Group for Lebanon, including ambassadors from the five permanent Security Council member states, President Aoun voiced concerns over circumstances surrounding Hariri’s resignation.
He stressed that Hariri has to return first to Lebanon in a bid to know his real stance on the issue.
For its part, the International Support Group for Lebanon praised President Aoun stances regarding the current crisis.
UN representative said that the group supports President’s Aoun stance and Lebanon’s stability, voicing readiness to offer help to Lebanon in a bid to find solutions to the crisis.
