Israeli occupation army spokesperson announced the death of a soldier, a combat engineer in the northern brigade, during a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
An anti-tank missile struck an armored vehicle in Khan Younis, resulting in the death of a soldier from the Golani Brigade and injuries of others, The Zionist media reported.
Spokesperson for the Israeli”Occupation army later announced that a soldier from Battalion 53, Brigade 188, was killed during a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.
Correspondent for the Israeli Occupation Army Radio announced the details of the incident in which an armored corps soldier was killed early Friday, as follows:
1. Battalion 53 was conducting an assault as part of the 36th Division in Khan Younis. The division has been advancing in the Khan Younis area in recent weeks.
2. At 8:00 a.m. today, a gunman fired an anti-tank missile at a battalion tank. The incident occurred during the assault, and the missile directly struck the tank.
3. One soldier from the tank crew was killed. The other three soldiers were injured — two critically, one moderately.
4. During efforts to rescue the wounded from the tank and provide air and ground cover for the evacuation, an explosion occurred in another tank — apparently due to an anti-tank missile or an IED detonated in the area. The company commander who was in the second tank was lightly wounded by shrapnel and was also evacuated to the hospital. The Israeli army is still investigating the cause of the commander’s injury.
5. A preliminary investigation indicates that the gunman emerged from an alley toward the tank and was spotted by the tank crew from behind — but immediately afterward, the explosion occurred, and the crew was unable to respond.
Meanwhile, Al-Qassam Brigades targeted a Zionist “Merkava” tank with a “Yassin 105” shell on Thursday east of Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, and bombarded a command and control site east of the neighborhood with 3 mortar shells.
Moreover, Al-Quds Brigades disclosed the details of Shujaia (northern Gaza) operation carried out on Wednesday, noting that the fighters executed the complex ambush with pre-planned coordination, perfectly aligned with the operational terrain, and trapped the enemy and its advancing vehicles with fire in the Al-Huda block east of Shujaia.
We confirm that we targeted about 40 enemy soldiers and officers, leaving them between dead and wounded, by the grace of Allah, Al-Quds Brigades added.
It is worth noting that the feats of the Palestinian resistance come amid reports about a US-Israeli announcement of a ceasefire next week during Trump-Netanyahu meeting at the White House.
Israeli Air and artillery strikes continue across the Gaza Strip for the 637th consecutive day, as Israeli occupation forces maintain their offensive. The ongoing bombardment has resulted in further civilian casualties amidst a worsening humanitarian crisis marked by severe famine and widespread displacement affecting over two million people.
