The Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported on Thursday that flight operations at the so-called Ben Gurion International Airport were briefly suspended after the Israeli occupation army detected a missile launched from Yemen.
Israeli occupation emergency services confirmed that one person was injured while rushing to a shelter during the alert triggered by the missile’s approach.

Interceptor Systems Fail to Block Missile
Channel 14 reported that the US THAAD missile defense system failed—for the second time in a week—to intercept the missile launched from Yemen.
The Israeli Arrow (Hetz) system reportedly succeeded in downing it. The incident has raised serious questions about the reliability of US defense support in the region.
Former Israeli War Minister Avigdor Lieberman expressed disbelief at the situation, stating, “It’s unbelievable that after a year and seven months of war, millions of Israelis are still running to shelters.”

Yemen Confirms Hypersonic Strike on ‘Ben Gurion Airport’
Later on Thursday, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced a successful military operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport—referred to in their statement as “Al-Lod Airport” in occupied Jaffa.
The group’s spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, highlighted that the attack was carried out using a hypersonic ballistic missile, which the statement claims evaded all interception systems and achieved its objective.
The statement noted that the strike caused “millions of Zionist settlers to flee to shelters” and forced a near hour-long suspension of airport operations.

Drone Strike on Strategic Israeli Site
The Yemeni Armed Forces also confirmed a second operation using a long-range drone, named Yafa, targeting a “vital” Israeli occupation site in the occupied city of Jaffa. No details were provided on the extent of the damage.
Air, Naval Ban to Remain Until Gaza Siege Ends
The statement reiterated a warning to international airlines that have not yet complied with the Yemeni airspace ban, urging an immediate halt to all flights to Israeli occupation airports, as many other carriers have already done.
It further confirmed that the airspace ban, along with the prohibition on Israeli occupation maritime traffic through the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, and related support operations, will remain in effect until the Israeli aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted.
