According to the arrangements made by Oman and an agreement between Iran and the US, the expert-level meetings and the indirect talks between Foreign Minister Araqchi and the US president’s special envoy Steve Witkoff will be held on Saturday, Baqaei said.
He noted that progress in the forthcoming talks will require the exhibition of goodwill, seriousness and realism on part of the US.
The spokesman underlined that the Iranian delegation, by considering the previous experiences, will adjust every step with regard to the behavior of the other side and will spare no effort to protect the rights and legitimate interests of the Iranian nation.
Iran and the US have held two rounds of talks in Oman and Italy in the past two weeks with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
