The Iranian Embassy in Lebanon stated on Thursday that “Ambassador Mojtaba Amani visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, where he provided clarifications to the Lebanese side regarding the tweet he recently published, explaining that its content was general and comprehensive and applies to all countries without exception, including Iran itself, in which he referred to the issue of disarmament among nations.”
The embassy noted that the visit was intended to prevent any potential misunderstanding or misinterpretation between the two countries over the tweet’s content.
It added that Ambassador Amani stressed the importance of preventing adversaries from driving a wedge between Iran and Lebanon, asserting that vigilance and cooperation are key to thwarting such attempts.
The ambassador also reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s unwavering commitment to supporting Lebanon’s independence, sovereignty, stability, and security. He reiterated Iran’s full readiness to strengthen its support and expand bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Furthermore, Ambassador Amani expressed Iran’s continuous willingness to move forward with its proposals in this regard in a manner that serves the interests of both nations and their peoples.
