Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem engaged with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf. The Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, was also present as they discussed crucial developments on local, regional, and international fronts.
The gathering came on the heels of the funeral for Hezbollah’s two fallen secretaries-general, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine, which took place in Beirut last Sunday. Araghchi, Qalibaf, and Amani attended the solemn event, marking their solidarity Hezbollah.
During the funeral, Sheikh Qassem delivered a speech in which he pledged to follow in Sayyed Nasrallah’s footsteps, stressing that “resistance is the foundation and will remain an option as long as the occupation persists.”
